Early in 2007 Rubber Consultants will be taking delivery of new equipment that will expand our analytical facilities.
NMR Upgrade
Our current Bruker NMR has been used to determine the ratios of monomers and the microstructure of a wide range of common polymer systems as part of reverse engineering and formulation analysis. We can also examine the differential crosslink densities when two polymers are cured together. The new instrument will allow us to continue development of these types of analysis and offer further enhanced polymer and chemical analysis for clients. In addition to the existing facility for examination of 1H and 13C nuclei we will be able to examine fluorine and silicone based polymers using the new 19F and 29Si capabilities.
If you require more information regarding the NMR upgrade please contact Colin Hull.
LC-MS
Early in the New Year Rubber Consultants will be adding a new Agilent 1100 LC-MS to their suite of chromatography equipment. This new piece of equipment will enable us to expand the range of polymer and plastics testing that we offer, from food contact work and formulation analysis to leachable and extractable testing of pharmaceutical devices. In conjunction with the wide range of other analytical techniques currently available, complete formulation analysis on an increasingly diverse variety of materials can now be carried out.
