Dr Marina Fernando gives paper at K2007

TARRC's Head of the Industrial Support Unit, Dr. Marina Fernando gave a presentation at the K-fair in Dusseldorf, Germany entitled Rubber Injection Moulding Simulation. The talk was held in the Moldflow booth to demonstrate the use of simulation codes to interrogate rubber injection moulding.

The presentation outlined the advantages of computer aided engineering techniques (CAE) in manufacturing, the necessary material characterisation and data fitting procedures required for a flow analysis and finally how to use the simulation results for identifying problems and optimising part and mould design.
