RC's new state-of-the-art labs & services

New state-of-the-art laboratories offer a wide range of services RC services include the assistance in compliance with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive 2002/95/EC, which has been in force since July 2006. RC can assist in testing for the 29 Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) identified in the REACH Directive. This list was published by the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) in response to REACH Directive EC 1907/2006. RC can help with compliance with this Directive. The Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) laboratory has just been fully refurbished with all equipment being successfully reinstalled. The lab is now up and running and our normal rapid response service for contamination and elemental analysis is restored. RC can assist in achieving nitrosamine compliance with the New Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EU for toy balloons. The limits for the Directive are the same as those of the German BMELV (Federal Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection) issued in a press release in July 2008. If they do not comply, assistance can be given to improve the formulation or manufacturing practice. Our Nitrosamine testing is accredited to ISO 17025 and are also able to test to the Directive on phthalates in toys and childcare articles 2005/84/EC.
