PURPOSE

• Preparation of rubber compounds and test samples
• Validation of rubber compounds & products

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation of polymers, additives and oils for compounding and mixing.
• Mixing and finalising rubber compounds.
• Testing of polymers and compounds for processing characteristics.
• Manufacture of test samples & prototype samples.
• Testing and validation of rubber products.

KEY ATTRIBUTES & COMPETENCIES

• Knowledge of safe working practices in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in operating processing equipment
• Awareness of chemical handling and the hazards involved
• Attention to detail and accuracy of working                                      
• The ability to work both alone and as part of a team
