PURPOSE

• The use of analytical techniques to assist in materials analysis
• Development and refinement of analytical techniques
• Method validation

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Liaising with business development functions to identify and secure new opportunities for increasing income generation.
• Providing detailed quotes for new business opportunities.
• Training of other staff in the post-holders expertise to ensure that there is adequate cover to suit the needs of the business.
• To be responsible for the safe and efficient running of specific items of equipment.
• To perform analytical testing as required to ISO or GMP standards.
• To prepare test reports for clients including summaries and recommendations where appropriate.
• To assist in the maintenance of the company Quality Control system and documentation.
• Any other reasonable requests for support and assistance from senior management.

KEY ATTRIBUTES & COMPETENCIES

• Degree qualified in a work related discipline
• Experience of quality systems, preferably ISO17025 and ISO9001
• Ability to work well as an individual or as part of a team
• Ability to communicate well, both verbally and written
• Computer skills and knowledge of basic software
