TestingInnovationSolutions

TARRC Pharma is the dedicated, independent testing service of Rubber Consultants, serving the pharmaceutical, healthcare and packaging industries. We use our materials science expertise to help manufacturers understand, optimise and validate the materials that come into contact with their products.

We offer comprehensive Extractables and Leachables (E&L) testing solutions for the pharmaceutical, healthcare and packaging industries.

We specialise in conducting E&L testing on various products, including:

  • Orally inhaled and nasal drug products (OINDPs), such as metered dose inhalers (MDIs) and dry powder inhalers (DPIs)
  • Parenteral and ophthalmic drug products (PODPs), such as prefilled syringes, bags, tubing, vials, filters, closures and bottles
  • Other drug delivery systems and medical device components, such as transdermal patches, catheters and connectors

Our E&L testing follows the guidelines outlined in the 'Safety Thresholds and Best Practices for Extractables and Leachables in Orally Inhaled and Nasal Drug Products' published by the Product Quality Research Institute (PQRI), supporting compliance with industry standards and providing valuable insights into potential chemical interactions.

In addition to E&L testing, our comprehensive range of analytical methods supports drug delivery failure analysis, contamination investigations and component quality control testing.

Most of our methods are accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to ISO/IEC 17025, supporting accurate and reliable results. As a testing facility listed under the Generic Drug User Fee Amendments (GDUFA), we meet the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) facility registration requirements, supporting regulatory compliance.

Combining scientific expertise with a commitment to quality, TARRC Pharma provides comprehensive E&L testing solutions and analytical services to support the safety and quality of pharmaceutical, healthcare and packaging products.
