The Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) has officially announced the appointment of Dr Shamsul Kamaruddin as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre (TARRC), its UK-based research centre, alongside its consultancy arm, Rubber Consultants, effective on 12 February 2026.

Dr Shamsul holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton and brings with him 22 years of distinguished service at MRB, where he previously led the Technical Service and Equipment Development Unit. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in rubber engineering research and technology and has contributed to consultancy projects within the rubber industry.
In his new role, Dr Shamsul will lead TARRC/Rubber Consultants through its vision of promoting rubber consultancy, delivering solutions that create tangible benefits for both clients and the wider industry.
As part of his responsibilities, he will focus on expanding the scope of consultancy services offered by TARRC/Rubber Consultants, including the development of new initiatives with educational institutions, industry partners, and international organisations. Through these efforts, TARRC/Rubber Consultants remains committed to delivering high-quality professional services and innovative solutions to its clients.
